This book is the story of a prodigal who finally finds the
path he needs to be on. Ten years of drifting put Brooks in a position to
finally humble himself enough to learn to be responsible. Through their conflicted
interactions, both Brooks and Keri learn to reconcile with family members and
rebuild their relationships with God. It is a sweet story, and part of a series
about the Morgan family. I did not read the other books in the series, but this
one does stand alone without background information being necessary.
Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to readers
of fiction. It did not take very long to read and, of course, comes with a happy
ending.
